Generally, your RINGLY should still give you credit for steps taken while doing something like pushing a stroller or shopping cart. The total, however, may be slightly lower than you are used to.
If doing something like running on a treadmill but using the holds for support, your RINGLY may also have trouble recording your steps. You can try putting your RINGLY in your pocket during exercises like this to make sure it is moving enough to give you credit for your steps.
If you are doing an exercise on equipment such as an elliptical machine and feel like you are not getting credit for as many steps as you deserve, you can add steps into Apple Health which will then show up in the RINGLY app. To do so, open the Health App, click into Steps, and tap the "+" button in the upper right hand corner to add data.
